Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 4

In this video

The Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major was composed in 1805/1806. Having trouble finding people to perform it, Beethoven himself was the first soloist at the public premiere in Vienna on 22 December 1808. The marathon concert saw Beethoven’s last appearance as a soloist with orchestra, as well as the premieres of the Choral Fantasy and the Fifth and Sixth symphonies. In this video it is played by soloist Shoko Sugitani with the Berliner Symphoniker conducted by Gerard Oskamp.

Composer: Ludwig van Beethoven
Artists: Shoko Sugitani (piano), Berliner Symphoniker, Gerard Oskamp (conductor)
